Overview
Based on community interest, the Archdale Civic Association Board worked with volunteers in 2023 to re-launch an annual community yard on the second Saturday of September.
The ACA board is working on low maintenance landscape improvements in Archdale’s common areas and this event serves as a fundraiser with all proceeds from participation fees going towards green-space improvements.
Participation Fee: $10 for ACA members, $20 for non-members. *Fees are non-refundable.
***Residents choosing to join the ACA as part of this event will have their $50 dues applied to the 2026 calendar year and will pay $10 for the yard sale.*** (See payment methods below for yard sale, ACA membership.)
ACA Community Yard Sale Participant Benefits
ACA Community yard sale provide participants with more resources for promotion, require less individual effort, and require fewer supply purchases. ACA Community Yard Sale participants are also helping improve neighborhood landscaping in common areas.
Benefits include:
- Promotion through announcements on the ACA reader board, website, Facebook (multiple local groups for maximum exposure), other.
- Access to an email flyer participants can use as an option to promote their yard sale by forwarding the email or printing to distribute.
- Promotion through an Archdale Community Yard Sale sign placed at Archdale entrance and Dorchester Road several days prior to the event.
- Inclusion in an OurArchdale.com assigned number list of yard sale participants with addresses and the option to list types of items to be sold.
- Inclusion in an online Archdale map with assigned numbers indicating participants locations.
- The ACA will create and loan participants a 18×24 yard sign with their assigned number. (Signs will be dropped off the night before the yard sale and picked up at the end of the yard sale).
- Directional signs with participants’ address and assigned number will be placed on Archdale Boulevard and indicate where to turn.

- Print Participation Forms available at the ACA General Meeting, August 21th, 7:00 pm at the Dorchester Road Fire
- Participation Forms are available on OurArchdale.com and can be completed online or printed for mailing
- Participation Fee:
- $10 (Archdale Civic Association Members) $20 (Non-Members)
Participation Fee Payment Methods & Payment Deadlines:
- CHECK: Make check payable to Archdale Civic Association. Mail Participation Form and check to Archdale Civic Association, PO Box 41543, Charleston South Carolina 29423- 1543. (Deadline Postmark Sat., September 6th )
- CREDIT CARD: Complete Participation Form and card payment online at OurArchdale.com/connect/payment. (Deadline Mon., September 8th)
- CASH: Deliver Participation Form and payment at the ACA General Meeting, August 15th or request pick up. (Deadline Tues., September 9th)
- Leave the ACA signs with your assigned number in your yard or next to the front door for pick-up at end of sale.
- A Hazardous Weather Forecast will result in the Community Yard Sale being rescheduled for the following Saturday.
